There is a common saying in Singapore: Rafflesians might run the country, but ACSians own it.

You might scoff at it or you might dismiss it outright; but a glance at their alumnishould be quite convincing. Now aren’t we blessed to have not one, but TWO primary schools to choose from the Anglo Chinese family.

Both schools are exceedingly popular with very strong alumni backing and connections.  Both schools are affiliated to Anglo Chinese School (Independent) and Anglo Chinese School (Barker), and to simplify things, here are the main differences:

  1. ACS(P) offers the Gifted Education Programme and ACS(J) doesn’t.
  2. After-school care is based at ACS(P).
  3. Although the nearest MRT station to both schools is Newton, the schools are located at different campuses and have different 1 kilometer radii.

With Point 3 in mind, a golden triangle does exist where properties located inside fall within the radius of both schools AND St Joseph’s Institution Junior.
